About The Course

At FCA we want to focus on sustainability in upholstery and so will be offering traditional and ‘sustainable modern’ upholstery classes. FCA is a foam free zone!

Our week long leisure course is a great way to commit to a project. You will be expertly guided by Master Upholsterer Hannah Weston Smith. There will be a maximum of 8 students per class to ensure you get the guidance you need to complete your project to the best of your ability.

Materials

The price includes the use of an upholstery toolkit and basic sundries including twine, tacks, laid cord, slipping thread and gimp pins. Other materials can be purchased from the School store and will be paid for at the end of the week.

We also have some rolls of high quality fabrics to choose from and purchase along with sample books from some of our favourite fabric houses. All can be perused over a cuppa and a biscuit. We’ll never say no to a nice cup of tea!
